Wildflower! Festival...

Late last year, I became aware that Joan Jett and

the Blackhearts would be playing at a nearby

 casino. I was so excited until I saw the ticket

prices. OUCH! So I went on with my life, without

getting to hear Cherry Bomb or I Love Rock and 

Roll live. As the Beatles say...La la la Life goes 

on...

But this year my boss helped me score some free

passes to the Wildflower! Festival here in Richardson.

She's the best! I had never been and I had no idea 

one night would hold so much good music!! Joan 

Jett and the Blackhearts were on the headliners

stage!! So I got to hear all my favorites!! It was

fantastic. I must admit this festival is somewhat

chaotic and just getting down to the stage took 

a lot of leg muscle and about 40 minutes. 

So worth it!

We had a blast! 

My feet have never hurt so bad in my life.

It was rad.

The blonde boy had mentioned we might also get

to watch The Wallflowers. You guys...it was so good.

I couldn't even believe how good it was. I walked 

up to a much smaller stage that was so much easier

to get to, we had gotten ourselves an incredibly 

good spot right up front. I was excited to hear One

Headlight and go on with my life. They sang song

after song that I actually knew and didn't realize

was one of theirs, they were so in tune with one 

another. I have never been so close at a concert

that I could see them signaling back and forth,

laughing at themselves and having a genuinely

good time. By the time we walked away, sore

feet and all, I was the happiest. I had such

an amazing time. Standing hand in hand with

my favorite guy and for just a moment, living

in the 90's and seeing how truly talented and

underrated The Wallflowers really are!

We had such a good time! Nights like these make me 

feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
