Bye Bye 2016...

Hello my dear friends. How have you been? Has 2016 been good to you? I pray and hope that it has.

2016 came and went like something unreal and unimaginably blurry over here in these parts. I'm still in awe that a semester of newscasts is now behind me...that the "real world" is only 2 short semesters away. My hardest semester is through, and oh my gosh, I can't believe this whole broadcast journalism thing wasn't another one of those bad choices I've made throughout my school career...or at least not yet...haha. I used to come here and share my heart because I was searching. I was searching for something, I was feeling stagnant, stuck and overwhelmed by it all. Now I feel overwhelmed in a new way...a more satisfying way...overwhelmed, but on a path to something. Something new and exciting and different. Now I can come here in quiet moments and just share my heart, and that feels really good. It always feels good to share here, it's like talking to an old friend who just knows you so well, that time does not create a wedge, it only makes the words more powerful and thoughtful. I cherish you. I miss you. And I'm thankful for this space. Thank you for visiting me here, for saying hello, or just for skimming when you have a free moment. It means a lot more to me than you might know.

Alright 2016, you were really stinking' good my friend.
-I turned 30. (Whoa!)
-We moved into our new church home (lifefellowship.tv)
-The first half of senior year is done and I loved every grueling minute of it!
-I wore so much lipstick this year you guys, and I'm real happy about it, because I'm a nerdy bird.
-We had to say our goodbyes to two very loved cars and we got to say hello to two lovely new (to us) cars!
-God showed up in some really amazing ways this year you guys (the ways that make you giggle a little at yourself and His sense of humor and makes you feel like the luckiest person alive) God is good all the time!
-I got a front row seat to that blonde boy of mine experiencing his very first launch party for his first game...DOOM!(What a dream! I still can't believe his first game is a title this huge! Did I mention how good God is?)

I might be on my fourth day of pajamas over here, ringing in the new year with a gnarly cold, but my heart is bursting and I absolutely cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store.

See you next year lovelies.

❤️-me,
         Annie
